on the 1851 census she is recorded as being a retired shop owner.
was this the drapers that later belonged to John Putt Decent?


36. James BROWNING

The only Browning I can find born at the right time comes from Chagford, Devon. As this is inland and a more farming area I can't decide if he is the right one. Somehow I doubt it.

on the 1851 census he is living in Wayton, Landulph and was an agricultural labourer.
Also there were Ann aged 62
William aged 33 and a tailor
Henry aged 17 an ag. labourer
