Cornwall

Cornwall is surrounded on three sides by water and most of the border between it and Devon is the River Tamar. This is probably the reason that very few people inhabited it, even the Romans never conquered that far, until quite late.

Cornwall is steeped in legend; stories of giants, dragons, mermaids and piskies (fairy folk) are commonplace.
